Puneet Sharma

Founder

Puneet Sharma is a serving as Founder of Samarthya Defence Research and Technology Pvt. Ltd. a Make in India aligned enterprise. He is also a research fellow in the Production and Decision Sciences area at XLRI Jamshedpur, with over 15 years of rich experience spanning industry and academia. A specialist in product innovation and development, he has led end-to-end processes from ideation to market launch, blending creativity with structured project management to deliver impactful, market-ready solutions.

His career is defined by a passion for transforming ideas into commercially viable products, developing systems that shorten innovation cycles, and fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration for breakthrough results. He has managed multiple high-value projects, where his ability to integrate customer insights, technological advancements, and business strategy has consistently driven competitive advantage.

In his current academic role, he channels this expertise into research on sustainability and logistics & supply chain management strategies, with a focus on how product innovation can enhance supply chain resilience and environmental responsibility. His work bridges conceptual research with real-world applicability, creating strategies that serve both industry needs and long-term societal goals.

He continues to engage in industry–academia collaborations, mentoring teams in innovation management and championing the development of sustainable, high-impact products.

Dr. Sudhir Arora

Founder

Dr. Sudhir Arora is serving as Founder of Samarthya Defence Research and Technology Pvt. Ltd. a Make in India aligned enterprise. He is working at the forefront of cutting-edge innovations to promote self-reliance in the defence sector. He holds two patents, including a granted patent for an advanced gun attachment system, with a second defence- related patent currently under examination. His research and innovation efforts are focused on developing advanced defence equipment that supports India’s strategic capabilities and reduces reliance on foreign technology.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, he holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering (2020) from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. Dr. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering at DAV University, Jalandhar, where he has played a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing the Civil Engineering department. He has authored two books and published over 20 research papers in reputed and indexed international journals and conferences. He has guided 10 Master's theses and is currently supervising four Ph.D. scholars, contributing consistently to academic and research excellence.

He has participated in over 30 short-term courses and workshops in the field of civil engineering, and actively provides consultancy services in geotechnical engineering, with a strong emphasis on sustainable construction practices. His work is a blend of academic depth, technical innovation, and national service. His unwavering dedication aligns with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, where his efforts are focused on building a self-reliant India through indigenous defence innovation and technological advancement.
